Restauracja Hubertus, dlaczego?
Hubertus, poroże jelenia w logo, hubertowiny – święto myśliwych, leśników i jeźdźców, organizowane przez jeźdźców na zakończenie sezonu, a przez myśliwych na początku sezonu polowania jesiennozimowego, zwykle w okolicach 3 listopada. Nazwa pochodzi od świętego Huberta (patrona myśliwych i jeźdźców). W Polsce kult św. Huberta, nazywany hubertowinami lub hubertusem, sięga XVIII wieku. Polowanie hubertowskie kończy biesiada myśliwych przy ognisku, bigosie i nalewce.
Kim był Św. Hubert? Hubert urodził się w 655 roku w Gaskonii, był potomkiem królewskiego rodu Merowingów. Zamiłowanie do polowania odziedziczył po swoim ojcu. Towarzyszył mu często na łowach. Ponoć w wieku 14 lat uratował mu życie podczas polowania na niedźwiedzia w Pirenejach. Atrybutem św. Huberta jest jeleń (często albinos) z jarzącym się krzyżem pomiędzy tykami wieńca. Według legendy Hubert ujrzał takiego jelenia podczas polowania w lesie. Po tym zdarzeniu zaniechał łowiectwa i oddał się służbie Bogu. Dziś atrybut św. Huberta jest symbolem Polskiego Związku Łowieckiego.
